it appears your the only one who sees this. i certainly have no seen anyone defending petz games tho of course i dont read every thread so you may be right. also core and hardcore are different things. general consensus is the hardcore are thos to whom gaming is a major hobby and they take an active interest in it. the core nintendo gamer are those who are fans of their franchises. of course their is a significant overlap between these groups

I'm not sure if any point is being made in this thread but I agree.

I agree Madworld is niche so its sales were always going to be limited.

I agree for the market leader there aren't enough good games on Wii.

I agree it is strange that some Nintendo fans defend Nintendo when all of significance we have received since May was Wii Music, a DS port and Gamecube ports.

I agree arguments have not been well presented in this thread so it is not even clear whether any of the things above have any relevance to what people are discussing.

I really have hard time to see what the OP is trying to say.

@phisheep: You had pretty good post, but since you didn't define what you were meaning with "hardcore", that point was left a little empty. Using Eternal Darkness as an example of the size of "hardcore" base failed a little too, since we may as well use Melee, MKDD or SMS as examples too.

@Tuoyo: You forgot Disaster and Animal Crossing. Besides, Wii Music is great.

I did remember Animal Crossing. That's the DS port I refered to. And I forgot Disaster Day of Crisis because it wasn't really worth remembering. It is my least favourite Nintendo game and doesn't come anywhere close to what got released on PS360 during that period.
