It will be inferior for one reason and one reason only.. the 360's D-pad.

Exactly. The 360 d-pad is an abomination.

Above all else, there is a high probability that the PS3 version will support 5.1/7.1 LPCM. That will take up a good chunk of a Blu-ray disc.

Why is there a high probability, I don't think there is?

I'd say there's a virtually non-existent probability.

hard to fit on a single DVD ???
this means one thing and one thing only : HD MOVIES for all fighters !!!!!
SWEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

HD movies could easily fit on a 6.8GB disc. Bluray quality video is overload and you don't need the stupid bitrates you see on a bluray disc. Also Bluray video has to follow certain standards and there is a lot of waste. The 360\PS3 are more than capable of playing back h264 without GOP length\key frame etc limitations blah blah.

You can get HD quality video from a fresh source that is CGI (i.e no grain) at 5-6mbit easily using h264 (mpeg4avc).

That would mean they must have a 1 1\2 hour of video in HD + allowing about 4GB for game data which is a massive amount for a fighter, (I believe Soul Calibur 4 including ALL HD video was 4.5GB roughly) to even come close to making such a stupid claim - not a chance.

PS3 D-Pad > 360 D-Pad

But... the fact that they are trying to make the games as equal as possible is good news for gaming. More devs need to take a page out of Namcos book.

Why not?  Other PS3 titles have 5.1/7.1 LPCM.

Hackers are poor nerds who don't wash.

PS3 controller in general > 360 controller.

Article pretty much confirms another multiplat. with a graphical difference too small to notice. As far as I am concerned this is the fighter to wait for this gen.

game will be the same but they will have to tune down bits of game like audio, fmv quite possibly resolution.

but both games will be same imo

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

There's a lot of fanboy hate here against the best gaming controller ever made.
