MGS4 and FF13 won't arrive in Europe before 2009. Why would i care before that ?

These games (so is KZ2) are in no way "no-brainers" for me.

The only game i know for sure i will buy on XB360 and PS3 is RE5.

If the Wii goes to 8k per week in Japan, ever, then you may use the word "low". Heck, even DS had sub-40k weeks. Oh, but according to leo-j, it will soon stop selling too.

If you take the sales numbers of Final Fantasy XII, Tekken 5, Metal gear Solid 3, Gran Turismo 4, round them up to the nearest million, and add them all up, and then assume that nobody that bought the previous iteration has a PS3 yet, and that all of them are willing to shell out $500+ to play that one game, and that all of them are seperate gamers (the metal gear fans aren't Tekken fans also, ect) in order to maximize sales for the PS3 you know how many extra people buy a PS3 in 08 (possibly 09 with some of those titles).

In this completely unrealistic scenario, that heavily favors sony you get...20 million. A generous 20 million extra units sold. By the end of 08, early 09. In addition to the modest sales of it so far. Nintendo will have over 20 million by march.

Face it, those few high end games aren't going to move the system that much. Not everybody that bought Gran Turismo 4 is going to buy a PS3 to play GT5, and if they did some of them would also cross blend into the Final Fantasy crowd. 20 million is a highly inflated number.

It's too little too late.

They'll probably go up quite a bit, but by that time there will be no way for Sony to sell the 20 Million necessary to catch up to the Wii.

If sony does, I'll eat crow.

No its not dead , and deffinatly not this year . The only time Sony will have a chance to outsell the Wii will be next year :?

I agree, PS3 is going to sell millions off of the back of these games. But the question was that of wii sales. And some major major games are really just around the corner.

THe general concensus is that Nintendo is diverting supply and stockpiling for the holidays.
