Holiday season is fast approaching. This ebb is preparing you for the mind-destroying flows that are about to be  commonplace for the next 3 months.

Well if by meeting demand you mean that there are still wii's in stock in japan and it only sold about 40k, that is bad.

I don't understand how the same people who defended the PS3's sales when it hit 8,000 units in Japan with the claim that it was a "slow week" can bash the Wii for only selling 40,000 systems in a week ...

40,000 units a non-holiday week with no half decent releases is a good week. When you factor in that worldwide sales were very stable and that it would have been reasonable for Nintendo to shift units to North America to sell along side Metroid Prime 3 it becomes clear that Nintendo has nothing to worry about.

... And apparently (given first numbers from NPD for August) : near one million Wii sold in US alone between July-August ! (Nintendo 's staff must be worried ...)

Leo-J, Your posts really stink of not only fanboyism but of desperate fanboyism. How sony do in Japan or anywhere, is quite clearly in its own hands, and how the wii does, is not really going to effect that. What is going to happen to wii sales when SMG comes out?
What is going to happen to wii sales when SSB comes out?
Your analysis seems to lack all objectivity. By the way I don't hate sony or microsoft, i hope to get a 360 and then maybe a PS3. But the wii is something fresh that i do like.
