Why would they announce this and risk the sales of the 360 European version? Isn't it breaking some kind of exclusivity clause?

I don't know if this makes a difference or not, but since Namco are not publishing, maybe they're looking forward.

...or maybe they don't plan to localize at all, so they don't care.

i dont ever think there was a deal. the reason it came out on 360 first was because supposidly ps3 dev kits wrerent made availble yet

The fact that they waited until the end of the fiscal year indicates a deal. The dev kit thing was probably just an excuse so their fans would not feel alienated.

@ Darc Requiem

That would be awesome. Maybe they might give more insight on the Great War in the PS3 version.

@ Cactus

Did you play Tales of Vesperia?

Did you play Tales of Vesperia?

Yup. My favourite Tales game.

I doubt it g-value, usually they don't add too much. We will just get a new character and a new area.

Anyways I'm buying Tales of Vesperia again, because it is so awesome!

Edit: Unless this is Tales of Symphonia all over again.... actually I think this is Tales of Symphonia all over again! Enjoy ps3 japanese fans only!

If its true, good for PS3 owners. ToV is great game, unlike Eternal Sonata. Still trying figure out how PS3 owners can mock 360 owners for getting the game first. The PS3 version will most likely hit well over a year after the 360 game was released.

I missed out on the mocking part. But some would consider an later release+ exrtas/improvements to be a superior deal. It's not like the game will be so old as to be irrelevant to those who have never played it. I could have sworn I even saw some posts from 360 owners lamenting their purchase of TOV now that this version has been announced. No biggie either way, but I'd rather wait for the best posible version myself.

I think you missed my point. I think its great for PS3 owners to get to experience one of the best RPGs of the generation. I just get a kick out of how people like Max King of the Wild act. I have too many games that I already own to complete without sinking another $60 into ToV. Personally, I highly doubt I'd buy the game for PS3 unless it has some sort of massive addition, like the ability to play through the game from Flynn's perspective. That would definitely be worth a "double dip."

I did zero-in on your last sentence. And I too would not re-purchase a game I already owned unless there were very substantial additions.

im pretty sure kz2 is better than ToV and i love R&C so im pretty sure there are games that ToV wont be able to bump this year. GoW shortly after. GoW would bump games if it releases sooner. and no way is ToV at GoW standards

How do you know that a game you never played before will not be better then KZ2 or GOW? I'm not saying ToV is better then those games i'm just saying you might regret not getting ToV sooner when you actually play it.

gow can be half as good as the other games and i could know about it and id still buy it over other games. so how do i know tov isnt as good as gow is outta the question. R&C same things. i dont think R&C games are on levels of AAA games but i have so much fun playing through them and insomniac has always been quality and a dev a love to support iv always loved their games since spyro (i didnt even know they were the same devs till R&CF) . not only because of their games but because of the company too. i mean they pay for their employees to get messages. id love for more companies to be more hippieized like that. 2 games that no game will be able to bump

not my fault starcraft, mr stickball, selnor and many others dubbed the 360 jrpg king of the gen

Which has what do with your behavior? Your are attitude is pathetic. You are going to deny your self a top notch game because it released on 360 first? Are you that much of a butt hurt fan boy? "Gamers" like you are what's wrong with the industry.
