It really wouldn't. RPG's on wii don't sell that well and if there was an option for superior PS3/360 versions Wii version would bomb.

You're wrong on every statement here. Please try again.
Hint: try some sales numbers for Symphonia 2, Dragon Quest Swords and Fire Emblem and tell me how many JRPGs sold more this gen. NPD stated that just 5% of console owners had multiple platforms, so a PS360 version wouldn't hurt the sales very much.
Retrospective fail.
What would be great is if some developer posts news like this on April Fools only to follow through with whatever their claim is and surprise everyone.
