Oh no... instead of wearing half a bra as a top she's wearing a whole bra!
What's next? Female characters with actual shirts or armor or something you'd expect a normal person to wear?
The HORROR!

I wish there was more of this... -_-'
I know what you mean. I shake my head in disgust when I see how, for example, Sophitia in Soul Calibur has gradually, each game, lost clothing.
Quit sucking up :P I luvs me Sophia..... and i believe there on the right track....
Are you serious? -_-;
The question is why r u so serious? its just a game and the art style is up to the dev.... There is a target audience for that type of thing....
The art style isn't even related...
So the character's costumes r not a part of the art style of the game anymore?
Anymore? They never were. You're probably thinking of character design. And either way, slapping big boobs with little coverage on everything is ridiculous. The issue I have is how can you trot around saying that doing so is "being on the right track"?
that my good sir was sarcasm..... as in they are on the right track to have Ivy being totally naked in the next game.....
but to reinorate i still think that charecter design is a part of the overall art design of the game..... its not a seperate entity... If you have a game like Valkyria Chronicles with characters from Killzone 2 ... that would be bad art design....
Sarcasm rarely shows on the internet.
Now you changed it to art design. Art style and character design aren't the same thing. For example, I love the art style in Twilight Princess. But I think atleast half of the characters in it have terrible character design. The art style is the overall style the game is made in (artwise), while the character design is the design for each individual character. The character design will often get optimized to fit the art style - A perfect example of this is Tales of Hearts. There are two versions of this game, each with a different art style, but they share the exact same character design, just conveyed through different styles.
Soul Calibur has no problem in the art style department. I applaud it's art style, even. The character design, however... Or, rather, clothes design and breast size(nowadays), can go straight to hell.
