Forums - Nintendo - Should FF rest in peace.

Nope.

The only complaining about remakes are those that bought the last "definitive version" before this one or those that have a super rare mint condition copy of final fantasy 1 with the alternate case (not sure if that exists....) and just don't want anyone else to have the fun.

Seriously, if you don't like them remaking, stop buying them. If you love the first few games and don't mind reliving them, go for it.

I would love them to make HD remakes of FF7-9 and put it on PSN or XBL. Would probably be the downloaded DLC of all time if price isn't ridiculously high.

No, and why is this in Nintendo forum?

Nice username, by the way

Funny Fact: If you check out the released Final Fantasy Games of this Gen, which are no remakes and are not on portables, than you will notice, that right now only the Wii got new Final Fantasy Games in this Generation.

I've been pretty pissed with FF lately, but no. There's always a chance for improvement.

No real reason to end the series because there are "too many" games or anything like that either, since each game is it's own story.

I know Chrome is awesome, but I think we all still have a place in our hearts for FF. I hear 3.5 will be very much improved

^This. Mario uses the same cliche and story over and over again...I don't hear any complaints.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

There are people calling for the end of Mario in this very topic.

Depends on FFXIII, if it is anything like FFXII I hope it dies a vicious death.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

I think it's time for a new name.

That's about it.

However one is an RPG one is a platformer. The importance of story is very different to the different genres.
