I read that Media Create's ~60% coverage is better than Famitsu.

Where ?

My opinion on the matter is based upon crho post. Crho (contrary to all other people claiming that either of trackers is better) provided links that support his claims (link to crho post).

Famitsu coverage rate - over 80% for console and 60% for the PC market.

Media Create coverage rate - approximately 57%.

Differences between MC and Famitsu are sometimes quite significent and I don't think (as some posters in this thread) that the matter is of no importance.

In an earlier thread way back.

This is the first I've seen that Famitsu has ~80%.

Nice find, Kamil.

OK Kamil. Thanks for the coverage.
You are right about the differences, and dengeki (which coverage for this tracker ?????) has differences too which suggest the true numbers are not always easy to find between the three trackers.
Famitsu seems to be the most reliable, but the 20% not tracked can be tracked by the two other trackers, and so, we don't really know which tracker is the most right.

I just go with whatever source has my favorite console and games selling the most.

Given how small Japan is now compared to the rest of the world...that means NPD numbers

When NPD has what I like selling well, I go with that, and I will talk all about NPD being more accurate than VGchartz.

When VGchartz has something I like selling well, I go with that, and I'll talk about how VGchartz was closer to Nintendo's Wii shipments in 2007 than NPD.

Whatever has what I like doing well is the most accurate at the time.

It was meant to be a joke... you said whichever source has your favourite console and games selling the most... Well apart from VGChartz, or Japan only games... it will usually be NPD you go to, because stuff sells more in the US than in Japan.
