So are we finally done believing Madworld will have legs? lol. that was a dumb belief from jump.

I'm certainly not. Most games drop off considerably the second week. It's what they do after that point that decides legs. Too many Wii games, hardcore or otherwise, have shown slow but steady legs to just write Madworld off as a bomb.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Should it have been a PS360 game?  It would have sold tons better.

lol thank you

I get so sick & tired of the constant Devs shouldn't put games on only HD Consoles but on the wii argument!

Honestly, I'm sick of this rush to judgement for the first two weeks of any Wii game's sales. Haven't you guys learned enough from Boom Blox, De Blob, Mario and Sonic, Call of Duty: World at War, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed to hold back a bit before calling something a bomb?

We really should wait a few months for any game on any system before making a blanket determination of its legs.

I don't see why people are saying Pro Evo had a bad debut just because of the UK numbers. The series isn't even that strong in the United Kingdom since the country generally prefers Fifa.

Sorry but Pro Evolution Soccer brand is Strong in the UK, maybe not as strong as Fifa, but i think its been pretty close over last few years.

@DMeisterJ

Dude do you really think that Madworld would sell tons more on PS3 or 360? With those graphics?, because from what i remember gamers on those platforms like realism, and cell shaded titles do not sell that great on those systems (PoP). Oh and PS3 or 360 couldnt handle madworld, because of controller limitation

@ Lolcislaw: Let them troll. Sony fanboys are the most bitter in existence, let 'em have this! They'll eat crow soon enough but will refused to show their faces when it's served.

Anyways, UK =/= Others. But with that said, it would be nice to see how a PES game would perform on Wii when it's released on time. Geez.

Why oh why did you have to write that 2nd line?

I think if it had been developped for the PS360, it would have been a much different game. I like the fact that it is on the Wii and how they made it look and play (i personally love the graphics of this game). I'm lucky enough to have all 3 consoles and can pretty much buy any game when I want, hence not a big fan of multi ports. Let devs try and get the most out of one machine and they can do wonders.

That doesn't answer the sales issue though... But my point was that if it was on PS360, it wouldn't have been the same game so not comparable.

Elaine: I will never understand people

Jerry: They're the worst.

Aha, sure. Because that same audience bought millions of Okami's and GodHands last gen, didn't they? That's why Persona is such a huge hit on the mighty PS2. Or Suikoden, another example of the PS2 userbase eating up the quality games. The much praised Ico is surely a million seller, right?

Please tell me you think Killzone 2 should have been on 360 as well. It would have definitely sold a lot better there.

So should have MGS4.

LoL, don't write off MadWorld yet, Deadly Creatures is also selling 3k per week in both USA and Europe, and had a 2k launch

MySims and Deep Ocean for example, are million sellers by selling slow and steady for 1 year!

even Wario Land, Samba de Amigo and De Blob which were flops at the begin have a chance to sell 1 million as all 3 are still selling

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
