Forums - Sales - So when did the Wii get so many sales updates?

Sales of 820,000+ for Blazing Angels? I'm sorry but that can't be right.

They've had over a year and a half to release the retail mission pack for the game (the same one they released for the 360, PS3, PC) and chose not to which doesn't make any sense if the Wii version had sold that well.

Didn't THQ reported a while ago De Blob sold 700k?

According to vgchartz it's 0.63m now.

So this brings the number of potential million sellers to what now?

Well, Nintendo says there are 72 games which have shipped a million, so I suppose that's how many games are potential million-sellers right now.

In response to the OP: Behold the power of the bargain bin! Us Wii owners loves our cheap games, we does.

So true, I completely forgot. :P

Pacman taught people to run around in dark rooms munching on pills while listening to repettive techno music and for that I somewhat idolise him.

I wish Oblivion's sales numbers would get updated.

My guess is that they all got Others data added very recently.

Man, why can't that happen to Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and Battalion Wars 2!? T_T

At GDC, Iwata said there were 75 games on Wii which had shipped one million units.

Hence the changes.

Over 312m Wii games had been shipped worldwide through December 2008, and 169m of those games went to stores in the Americas.

Per Nintendo's forecast for the year ending March 2009, in which 193m Wii games will ship, ~58m Wii games were shipped worldwide in January to March 2009.

If you figure Nintendo had data for 10/13 weeks in January to March, and that the software shipments performed as expected, then at GDC your talking 75 games to ship 1 million units on  (10/13)*(58m) + 312m...or about ~355m Wii games shipped worldwide.

Wii Sports isn't included in their game software totals for Nintendo, but the 46 games which are million sellers on the site still total about ~45% of the Wii software total.

Cool. That's some big jumps!

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

Where exactly are we getting the updated Others data from though? The publishers?

Once again.

VGchartz, where the numbers are.....maybe?

Super Monkey Ball is a million seller. That makes me slightly happier.
