Sure the 360 may be out of the question other than a controller, but come on Blizzard. Quit making excuses like this. The PS3 is currently the best platform to port PC game onto. Mainly because they don't have to change anything except the base code. Graphics, sound, controlls, and gameplay can all be done +/- near equal.
I understand the Wii is what they are looking at because they can make more money there, but let's not make false accusations about the PS3 and 360. Controllers work fine for RTS game and MMO. Not as good, but still, they work well. Plus, like I said before, what's so bad about using a keyboard and mouse? Will Blizzard stop making PC games now since it is an outdated controll sceme that they don't want to use anymore? |
Are you shitting me? Porting to the PS3 is far hader than it is for the 360, simply because SONY decided to make PS3's hardware a mess and a nightmare for any developer.
Also controllers do NOT work for RTS games and MMO games at all.
Wii is Blizzard's best bet simply because of the types of games they make. They are ncie and simple and very easy to get into. You never realize how they eat away 4 years of your life.

I didn't mean to sound like I was saying the PS3 is easier to port to than the 360. I just mean the PS3 fully supports a keyboard and mouse, so they don' t need to change the game at all. All they have to do is make it work on the PS3. They don't have to worry about mapping buttons to a controller. Yes I know it's easier to port to the 360 programming wise. The 360 would be the #1 pick for porting by far if they had keyboard and mouse support.
Pretty much my point is that by Blizzard saying the PS3 needs better controll support, they are also saying PCs need better controll support. Their argument doesn't make any since at all.
