I can not wait for this game!

Story sounds really good but ultimately sad.

"English PR:Concluding the events that began in Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction and Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty, Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time will answer some of the franchise fans? biggest questions. After discovering that lovable robot Clank?s disappearance was engineered by Dr. Nefarious, the Wrench-swinging Ratchet races to save his best friend. Along the way, both will finally uncover the hidden truth behind their origins, and discover their ultimate destinies. As the duo come closer to reuniting, they?ll have to ask themselves the biggest question of all: Do Ratchet and Clank?s destinies lie with each other? Or is it finally time for the universe?s greatest duo to separate for good?"

lol. Insomniac wouldn't.

Or would they?  :O

they would if they thought it would lengthen the life of the series or give higher sales

Shocking news!!!

The name is not as good as the previous ones, not as much innuendo in it

Anyway, it will be a great game and I can't wait

When I read that PR statement it made me very sad.

I think the story of these two may be coming to and end, having both branch off in different directions.

Yes, it gave me chills as well.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Aw hell yes! R&C is one of my favorite Sony IP's.. it's most likely coming out this year too... bring on the Ratchet, I say.

Is Tools of Destruction worth getting ? can someone briefly describe it.

You can probably find it cheap now, so yea. I don't know if you've played the other games of the series (I sure haven't), but Tools of Destruction was a fun game and I liked it, but I've heard it lacks some of the replayability of the other games.

Gameplay is a mix of platforming and shooting with humor sprinkled liberally throughout the game.

Well, there's tons of skill points to get, lots of weapons to collect and upgrade, gold bolts to find, and the all important challenge mode, which gives even more upgrades to the weapons, harder enemies, and a chance to play through the entire game again and experience the awesomeness all over. =D

I am curious what gives here. There are prequels and there are sequels. Now R&C is going for something that happens between two other games? Is this going to be a trend? Next, Sony then comes up with a game where you find out what happened between THIS game and the original R&C Future:TOD? Then the game after that will consist of what happened between THAT game that the original future title?

Eventually you get down to a game that involves 5 minutes or world time, but 20 hours of actual play time. Time will be distorted. In it you win powerups by having Ratchet scratch the right places.

I'm pretty sure this game happens after Q4B. I dunno exactly where you got that from..."Crack in Time takes place shortly after Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty, and will see Ratchet travelling through time to rescue Clank."

According to PS Blog, a teaser trailer is coming on GTTV this week (in which we will also see some ME 2 and DAO)

Ratchet & Clank continue adventures in 'A Crack in Time'

As promised, Ratchet and Clank are coming back to PS3 this fall. Continuing the story from where Quest for Booty (pictured) left off, Ratchet is on a mission to save Clank from the evil Dr. Nefarious. Through the time-traveling adventure, both of our heroes will discover secrets about their origins, their destinies and (presumably) their old, polygon-deprived character models.

No specifics have been revealed on price nor distribution, but A Crack in Time may again release as a downloadable PlayStation Network title at a budget price. (Quest for Booty launched at $15.) We've contacted Insomniac Games for more information, so stay tuned.

I'll be disappointed if it's a short PSN game instead of a full-blown game.

I'm pretty certain it is a full blown game, it fits in with their release structure

Giimi a trailer for it damn it.
