Call of Duty and Wolfenstein confirmed for XBLA/PSN?

Update: Looks like Wolfenstein 3D is on its way to XBLA too.

A listing on the PEGI ratings site reveals that Call of Duty is heading to XBLA, PSN and mobile devices.

Whether this is a remake of the 2003 shooter, or something new entirely, remains to be seen.

Through all the frantic news of the Game Developer's Conference, the ESRB got the chance to slide out a little update to their rating lists. In said list - Wolfenstein 3Dfor the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network

With the new Wolfenstein game coming to consoles at the end of the year, it's not much of a surprise to see the original game come out as well, but since we've already had DOOM on the system, Wolfenstein 3D may be a little too ancient. If they addSpear Of Destiny we might be onto something.

With the game just released on iPhone, and available right now and playable on anything on Steam, a XBLA and PSN version might be a bit of a waste. Wouldn't it be hilarious if they completely remade Wolfenstein with new graphics though? That'd be something to see.

But come on Activision and id Software, sure you're releasing Quake Arena sometime this year, but where are Doom II, Quake, Quake II and the Commander Keencollection? That's what we really want to see on XBLA and PSN. Get to it!

The new Wolfenstein 3D HD remake looks good and will be coming to PS3 and X360.

Good to see theoriginal Call Of Duty and classic Wolfenstein 3D hitting both XBox Live and PSN.

Id love to see Quake & quake 2 released with the level editor (forgotten what it was called) released on PSN. I used to make a lot of maps for quake. Two truly great FPS's

What remake? The only Wolfenstein thing (apart from the iPhone version) is an entirely new Wolfenstein game coming in summer.

Anyway, sounds pretty good... Although I'd still rather stick to the PC version due to its easier controls and incredible mod support. That is, if it worked on my PC: it used to, but apparently has ceased functioning. And if they release it on PSN/XBLA, they should include Spear of Destiny with it. And release Doom on PSN as well.

Sweet. I'm glad to see COD coming to the PSN/XBLA, it would be nice if Wolfenstein 3D followed as well. It will be fun playing the old COD
