Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Anyone else playing Blue Dragon?

I read you have to beat the game first to make it harder. Before then if you want to make it harder then don't fight as much so your not as strong. Again hope more people pick it up and enjoy it :)

Not quite.

You can get DLC for the Japanese and US versions (but have to use a Japanese account to get it thus far) to get the Hard Version....It's a ton harder from what I've heard.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Im still on disc one, (just left Marumaro's village and are in some cavern) and so far its been quite easy. My party felt untouchable actually. Lately though, some of the monsters are actually doing some decent damage and/or lasting a few rounds. More often now someone (usually Kluke) gets KO'd and there is alot more post battle healing, but we have NOT been in fear of actually losing a fight..yet.

I think the game has a very slow ramp up, difficulty wise. Ive read it does get harder, with one hit kill bosses etc that will have you cursing. We shall see....

PS360 ftw!

Currently playing..........

Gears of War 2, GTA IV Lost and Damned, Little Big Planet (Yes I said I had no interest but my girl wanted to try it and we did and now Im hooked )

I will be picking up Blue Dragon this weekend.  A Canadian retailer (Zellers) has it on sale for $40CDN.

That's what she said.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Ah, I can't wait for The Office to return.

And I just started playing the game... Land Shark? Are they f***ing with me or is someone at Mistwalker a big Saturday Night Life fan?

BTW, even with little hype, the US release is just under 109,000 copies, and it actually outsold Warhawk and Lair, which both had a lot more hype.

Of course the larger userbase of the 360 helped, but this is good news so far for RPGs on the 360.

I don't think you can say that it outsold Warhawk unless you ignore the fact that it is a downloadabe game...and beating Lair isn't much of an accomplishment.  It sold about as I expected considering the 360's demographic.  I am curious to see how this affects Microsoft's marketing strategy since the JRPG's haven't sold as well as expected in Japan and are not pulling stellar numbers in the U.S. either.

I would like to see Eternal Sonata and Lost Odyssey do better because those look like even better games.  Lost Odyssey makes me want a 360.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
