We're going to get two handheld Zeldas before an announcement for Zelda Wii? :(

I like Phantom Hourglass, but it just isn't as good as the four recent console Zeldas...

YES! I can't wait.

I guess it'll do.

I'd imagine the development time on a console Zelda is quite a bit longer than a DS one. Especially if they decide to go in a different direction with the next console one, such as incoporating Wii Motion+ and real sword fighting.

I think everyone was hoping for a console one, but a DS one is a pretty good announcement too imo.

Don't mind me.  I'm just whining because we still haven't heard anythign about Zelda Wii.  :P

Don't feel bad. We alll want Zelda Wii. It's an inescapable fact of life: if you like Zelda, and own a Wii, you want Zelda on that Wii.

The handheld games, however, have their own charm, and I don't think they actually take resources away from the console games.

I hope this sets a trend in terms of announcement/release date windows for the series, though.

They already described the train as a land-based version of PH's boat. It takes you to places and then you explore said places.

What I'm most curious about at this point and time is the storyline and setting.

Well, obviously, but there still won't be a traditional overworld map... Which is I guess is a natural evolution of the "dead sea" of TWW/PH fame.

Now as for storyline, it doesn't seem directly connected to PH. Zelda certainly didn't live in a castle in that game. On the other hand, there is the "Phantom" which kind of implies a connection. I suppose it could be a TMC-PH kind of relation.
