If it took off, it would cost the Wii marketshare. However, it won't take off. There's simply no way they'll be able to compete with Nintendo from a marketing standpoint.

This will have as big of an effect on the wii, as did this nifty set of PS2 add-on controllers.

Serious question as I don't know and am interested, how many Wii games use motion sensing on the Wii?

The only one I can think of that doesn't is that crappy Fire Emblem game that was pretty much a straight Gamecube port in every sense (although it was never released on GC).
