Forums - Sales - Some more Feb. 09 NPD figures

Given how poorly other JRPGs have done, I don't think FFXIII will revive the market - just be a momentary blip that says 'hey, Americans buy JRPGs once in awhile!'. It won't lead to greater JRPG adoption, I think. I guess us Americans only prefer a few big ones rather than buy the smaller, really good ones, too.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

Star Ocean 3 debuted at #7 in September 2004's NPD charts. It debuted on August 31st, 2004, so it achieved #7 with 30 full days on the charts. It did not chart in the top 20 in October.

solid numbers would be very useful i dont know what the top ten sales were like in 2003

@mrstickball

as I expected

roughly half of the peoplr are being lost with SO4 (assuming SO4 could do 111K if it had 30 days)

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

wasnt so3 a spring release? why are those numbers from sept?

going to look at release date now

ok i was 1/3 right feb launch for japan fall launch for the others

SO3 launched August 31st, 2004 in NA.

The numbers Stickball posted do make things look a bit better though, although I will wait until March NPD to give an opinion. I want to see how the legs on this game ride out.
