There is an island later in the game where each battle will gain you like 8 levels. You can easily get all your characters to level 100 in about an hour or so.

The island that does not show up on the world map (trying to avoid spoilers here)?

Where is this island?

on the southwestern border of the map, there you'll fight bahamut(so go prepared) and afterwards ultima weapon(REMEMBER TO DRAW EDEN FROM HIM)

So Eden is a GF, okay. I'll remember to do that. Also, is there a place where I can draw high level magic? Or magic that will help with junctioning?

Bahh this game is so easy to have 9999 health before the end of disc one, well it is now when you know exactly what to do

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

damn, the memories. I feel like replaying ff8 now

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

eden is not any GF, hes the only attack on the game thats able to surprass the 9999 limit with one attack. for the high level magic just play cards and then mod your cards, for the highest spells wait until disc 3, learn enc none(diablos) and equip it then land on the island closest to hell(can also be done on the island closest to heaven) and walk aroun the whole island button mashing X, there a tons of invisible draw points on the island containing the strongest spells in the game(ultima, meteor, triple, holy) you'll have to wait a while after you use up this points for them to restore themselves but the wait is truly insignificant

There are 2 islands in the world that give thousands of exp. with every fight, The Island Closest to Hell and The Island Closest to Heaven. Both of them house the hardest monsters in the game, including Malboros. You can either kill the monsters regularly or use Quistis's Degenerator limit break. The Island closest to hell is the western most island on the map and has every dragon in the world on it. I suggest junctioning Blizzaga to your element attack because most of them are weak against ice. You can also get dragon fangs and fury fragments here. The Island Closest to Heaven is the 4th eastern most island on the world, north of Grandidi Forest. Both of these islands also have a lot of unseen draw points, just walk around pressing X.

Leveling in FFVIII is pretty stupid. And is even stupider, that leveling hasn´t much effect, because enemies are harder and harder. Heck, game is easier, when you dont level at all.

And on the top, game is really easy. One of my friend didn´t know how to junction any magic (he don´r read manuals, in game, or on paper) and still was able to finish the game. Pff.

For the most part, you can find strong magic to junction early on in the game. Quake and Demi are huge in the first Disc.

I didn't fully understand the junction system my first time through so the only thing my characters really had going for them as far as stats were concerned was 9999 health.

I beat the game with Squall doing a max of around 800 damage a critical hit. Other characters could only do around half that. The entire final battle (especially the last part.....) took so freaken long... Thank god for aura and the lionheart since that was the only way to actually inflict some real damage.

----

At the end of disk 3, don't force yourself into the sequence that'll put you in Disk 4 and you can find a creature that'll respawn in the same area of Esthar that'll drop energy crystals that you can refine into pulse ammo for upgrading weapons as well as the magic ultimate. Instant (well..) max str.

It also helps to use the ultimate draw point in the Shumi tribe starting on disk 2, but you have to pay something like 5000 gil to use it so only use it when you see that it's been replenished.

It was also possible to get Lionheart in disc 1.

Hard as fuck though..... I sank hours into the card game trying to do it, though I did get some cool cards. Though I read it's easier to get the card you needed before you leave the Balamb area since the rules become brutal in the other areas and the card doesn't show up that much from the characters that can use it and from personal experience, you DON'T want to try and get the card you need outside of Balamp on disk one......

I eventually said screw it and waited till the second disk where the rules were much nicer and the card I needed showed up a lot more.

Not really i have a very simple strategy, you'll have it in a days time

Is it before or after you leave Balamb? I made the mistake of leaving before I read about what people to play the card game against that'll have Elnoyle.
