Fixed. They switched to 80 gb models not because they were generous enough to take another hit to their profit just to give the best model they can. The change to 80 gb was because their supplier was no longer making 40 gb harddrives in bulk, and thus it is cheaper to buy 80 gb harddrives

It's the same reason that MS switched form 20GB to 60GB hard drives on the Pro models.

It was an article posted on this site back in january or something, it was around when I joined. I don't remember where it was from, but someone from sony talked about how 360 dropped its price and the PS3 didn't drop in price because they wanted to start making a profit to show the bigger sony company that they can make money. He stated they have been making money on each console since november. It was over looked because of the 50 thousand killzone 2 threads. Look around I am sure you will find something.

How do you know it's still selling at a loss?
How do you know the 360 was not when they decided to cut the price again?
If you have evidence of it, I really want to see it.
OT: E3 is early June if I remember well. If the price cut is not yet done by the end of march, I think it will be in June.

I remember hear that Sony still lose 40 bucks on every model. Actually I dont think Sony should cut the price until maybe the holiday season 09 AT THE EARLIEST! Try waiting in 2010 when GT5/GOWIII/Killzone 3 come out, they need to get into the green first or they might go bankrupt
