the video quality is a disaster, but despite that you can really see how impressive that engine is. Too bad that there ae no computers that could handle a game on that engine right now.

If it runs on consoles, it'll run on current PCs as well. The improvements don't seem that significant so I'm guessing they've put more emphasis on optimization than they did with CryEngine 2. That said, so far this looks more like CryEngine 2.5 than CryEngine 3 (well, that doesn't come as a surprise).

Yes it looks better than Crysis except for some shading/post-processing. Insane textures. I didn't expect it at all considering RAM issues on consoles (mainly PS3).

At 0:52 is just insane :o

Pretty good if it is for console.

I hope people start using it if only to get rid of the plastic sheen that seems runs rampant in many unreal engine games.

Let me get this straight, 2 years down the road and all we get is.... this? Seriously? What a waste of human time and manpower. Epic went from UE2 to UE3 in 4 years yes, but the jump between 2 and 3 was huge. This? This is just wasted time.

Well, even if it's not very impressive compared to CE2, it doesn't mean it's not impressive compared to other engines. CryEngine 2 is still easily the most impressive engine on the market (CE3 isn't on the market yet), and its only drawback is its high system requirements. Anyway, right now hardware is the limiting factor; there isn't much room for improvement until devs learn the systems even better than now.

I don't think this was ever meant to have the same graphical leap as cryengine 1 to 2, it's meant to be easier to develop for, so they can license it out like Epics engine.
