Forums - Gaming - Does GTA have a place on Nintendo Platforms? (Article Which Echoes my Q)!!

I don't see how that is bad... I never expected this game to sell tons in the first weeks. But it will have massive legs!

@rol

is it more profitable than the PSP ones?

we'll never know

@darth - I think the frustration you got at the start of the thread is the fact that WHENEVER a M-Rated title opens on a Nintendo platform and does have blowout first day sales, like it's counterparts, articles like the one you posted pop-up.

...I think it's a valid question, but the answer is a mixed bag of what some have mention. Nintendo platforms are MAINSTREAM, as we've seen so far software is not front loaded as has been traditionally.

To me console establishment is important...I want to use Guitar Hero Wii -vs- Rockband Wii for example. imo, RB Wii is a better game, better DLC, but GH is more established on Wii, as a "Wii Brand", thus as sales show.

Once GTA/Rockstar is established on Nintendo platforms, I see no reason why it can't be as "evergreen" as GH is now on Wii.

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

^
do you really need to put a disclaimer for your post? :x

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

^ Man the way ppl are using other ppls post against them you can't be too sure!!!

*puts on shades*

I love how people are drawing conclusions based upon less than one week of sales in one country.

If the game is profitable -- especially given its critical acclaim -- it will lead to additional offerings. Also, the critical acclaim could be the best thing that happened. That might make a lot of people who were on the fence about buying it actually make the purchase. I have often railed against reviews -- but in this case it is important because the reviews target the target buyer of this game (and games of this type) -- the "hardcore" gamer.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

One of the most casual franchises in existence has no place on one of the most casual platforms in existence?

I would isn't casual, but mainstream.

Wii play is more casual.. but the controller... wii sport is the mos... darn it's bundled, wii fit is... never mind...

Maybe if China town wars came with a bundled innovative manual on how to do wushu.

I may check china tow... I don't like sand box games... I really don't so scratch that portion of a comment.

64k for 2 days in Others on the DS is quite good. Everyone thinking otherwise doesn't understand the gaming market AT ALL.

Well, I certainly don't believe that DS and Wii are equatable. The DS is arguably the handheld to own for core gamers this gen, while the Wii isn't. The PSP on the otherhand has been hit by a severe gaming draught, and even Sony themselves admit it was poorly supported.

I think that there are just so many great games to buy on the DS, that even a game of such high quality faces severe competition.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
