BTW: I currently own 72 Wii titles, I'm pretty sure most of them aren't from Nintendo.

DS is currently getting no love though and SF4 and Killzone made me blow the dust off my PS3.. doesn't matter what anyone sais, Killzone is not that fun, I would of preffered Time Splitters 4 on my Ps3 or Wii thank you. =)

What I fail to understand is why would it be bad anyways if all Wii gamers were little kids, women, and "hardcore Nintendo gamers". Are people becoming such elitist that this is an insult? I find that quite disturbing. Especially considering most of the "hardcore Nintendo gamers" are probably the elitist gamers of the 80s and 90s who laugh at how mainstream gaming has gotten with shooters, racers, and sports games. It definitely goes both ways.

It's obvious this dev has some issues with Nintendo probably from Nintendo's strictness over the years with quality and content which only just opened with Wii and DS and the end of the GC years. Probably has nothing to do with Wii and DS.


But other than that it's just another example of a grown man crying which is quite funny and pathetic. However, I must question the negativity of male gamers towards little kids and women gamers. Are they second class gamers and plagues to have as console and handheld owners? This whole elitist thing tied with the "new age" hardcore gamers is nonetheless disturbing.

Devs want to make mature titles with good graphics, it would cost them to much to port those kinds of games to the Wii so I would have to agree with him.

Zucas, yes they are 2nd class gamers. Because my demographic which I didn't know I was in, (Just leaving actually.. damn time.) All want shooters and madden of course I can't play madden without part of my brain farting and kill zone just proved to me that Shooters to me are more cliche than Bishonin main JRPG that are so hated by certain JRPG detractors.

The distinction is there, no need to be so rhetoric, the only stupid or wrong thing is that people are assuming KZ2 or Gears 2 or Halo 3 weren't bought by Dads for Kids or by Mom for... get this.. mom.

This reminds me of a kid I met who told me he got into gaming because his babysitter who was a 40 something year old lady at the time, probably dead by now was really into Mario and was a monster at the game. (He is 22 now.)

Are young kids 2nd class gamers... yes - most of the time they don't get to pick and choose what games they get, that seems second class to me... I remember my son didn't want Socrates... but guess what he got. =)

I don't set the demographics I just point out its fallacies which obviously you prove my point on.  Actually you pretty much agreed with me on everything I said which is why I wonder why you even replied.  Reply to those who need schooling not those that don't.

ONce again I don't set demographics but point out their fallacies.  Another one I was pointing out for the sake of brining another group down while showing how another demographic's elitist ways were no different than the one the other.  It was not a point of choosing a side but brining everyone back to level instead of a place of superiority just like you were doing.  These demographics are set by the media and uses to destruct and disturb for the sake of self-interest.  I could never agree with such things.
