I'm not loving how they simplified Fable 3. You don't even have a life bar, it just "recommends" when you take a potion but you have no visual representation of that.
Also at the moment I have to pick one spell gauntlet and that's it, one spell, thanks Lionhead... that's fun.
I guess I need the get the manual out, for a game trying to be as simple as possible they don't tell you nearly anything you can do.
Also, stop trying to simplify RPGs. Make a new genre for that, most RPG fans I know like deep games.
Just because something is simplified, doesn't mean it isn't deep...
Fable 3 is probably becoming a rental.
Still not got Fallout. Sold out at my game shop and Blockbusters. Actually cried a little bit.

@themanwithnoname, okay, I'll give yout that. And I'm seeing where there could be depth here, ultimately I won't know until the credits roll.
But I just think its funny that Peter made such a big deal out of the fact that you can hold hands with other characters, as if it was so deep and meaningful and then two seconds later you get the choice of "fart" or "pose." It couldn't be more immature than it is. And honestly, it hasn't really evolved since the first game, hand holding or not. There is no NPC character development, no emotional ties, there is fart and pose...
Also, the dog is actually worst than it was in part 2. It can't path find for anything and it seems to not understand its function in the game. Sometimes it points out usefull dig points and sometimes it does circles stuck in a wall and ignores dig spots until you run over then half a dozen times, at which point is seems to go, Oh, there it is! It really worked pretty well in part 2, I don't know what happened here.
But I'm not complaining, I think there is more to like here than in part 2, I just don't want to hear people claiming how deep and involved it is when basically its like the Sims-RPG, purposefully made for people who don't like deep role playing games. Problem is the fan base for the series does like those types of games.
Maybe its just because I'm also playing Fallout: New Vegas, one of the deepest RPGs to come along in a while and then comparing it to the pointless fart or pose Fable gameplay, where the biggest challenge is following a glowing yellow trail that leads you through the entire game. Speaking of the yellow trail is also quiet broken. Half the time it can't decide if it wants to help you or not. Where did all the development time go?
i agree with all of those points. except that my game wants to make me dance with people all the time(its the option that comes up 95% of the time).
"I like my steaks how i like my women. Bloody and all over my face"
"Its like sex, but with a winner!"

@MrBubbles, lol, I know! I keep doing gay dances with guys because its either dance or belch in their face. At least in part 1 and 2 you could choose what you wanted. There are just too many instances in this game where the game makes all your choices for you and I don't like that.
But that said the more I get into it the more I am enjoying as my favorite Fable, broken aspects or not, it definately seems to be weaving a much better narrative and it does seem like it will be longer than previous games. I just hate that it could be so much more than it is and once again I'm not a fan of the "dumbing down" principal found in games now days. Back in the NES era they made games purposefully hardcore, now we have auto-play options for people who apparently lack any ability what so ever to beat a stage of Mario. My question is why are those people even playing it to begin with?
