All is well in Ferelden.  Dragon Age patch 1.04 rolled back out yesterday and people with Elites and the new 360s are reporting no problems.  No mention of the issue with dexterity not affecting weapon damage for rogues in this list of the fixes c/o xbox360ach..org though.

I know Arkham Asylum is old news but was anyone else a little underwhelmed?  It's technically well done, no camera issues and I love third-person view.   I like the environment and that surreal feel but something is lacking.  I got the same feeling playing Darth in SW:TFU so maybe it's that I'm not the biggest fan of the series or that type of character.  I prefer to build from scratch, beef up then overcome the odds.  I miss the quips, interaction and running commentary from titles by Bioware, Lionhead etc.  The Caped Crusader seems a humourless clod though he is under a lot of pressure.  The alleged Joker's just a psycho.  It'll get better and hopefully some of the collectibles I can see but not get will open up as I gain skills and items.

I would like to make a rule change...

I would like to put platinum games down to 10 rather than 20.  What I will do is with the new platinums give 3 points to every gamer who gained the platinum this season (2010).

I would like to do this for two reasons...

1) to further give people opportunities to score league points

2) to align platinums with full league tournaments (If it becomes a full tournament it becomes a platinum game).

Any objections?

Neo: No and thank you.

Sounds good to me, NeoRatt, if it's not too much added work for you.

JPL and I were talking about this last week.  There are some obscure games that have difficult/time consuming achievements but no real shot of reaching 20 users.  It won't hurt the league any, because you'll still have the 34% rule.

I always wanted plats for Mega Man 9, Magna Carta 2, and The Saboteur.

@Recon, when I think Batman I don't really think of humor.  Unless you go back to the campy t.v. show.  Personally I prefer the kick-ass Frank Miller Dark Knight Returns version the best.  I really liked Arkham Asylum though, can't wait for the sequel. I really wanted to try the 3D effect in the game of the year edition so I may have to pick that up sometime when its cheaper and I'm not completely broke.

@Neo, I have no objection but it does seem like extra work for you.

@eNamrah, I gave in and used my credit card to buy Castlevania, we've got to play some.  Also I got Crackdown 1 in the mail today if you still want the co-op achievements.  Congrats, by the way on scoring the full 1,000 in Crackdown 2.  I'll be stopping at 890 and I returned it this morning.

Yeah, JPL, I'm enjoying Castlevania HD.  The reviews are BS.  Yeah, it might be recycled but it's still enjoyable to me.  I'm looking forward to the MP.  Maybe if it were $10 instead of $15 the reviews would've been kinder.   I'd still prefer a completely new, 2D single player Castlevania for XBLA so hopefully they'll make one if this sells well.

BTW, you were so close to 1000gs in Crackdown 2.  It would've only taken 4 hours or so for the remaining 110gs.  The stunt rings were quite easy after mastering the SUV's jump ability.

@eNamrah, I know I was close but I'm okay with it.  Truthfully I was two seconds away from quitting at 500 something gs until you informed me there were helicopters.  But I got 40 hours of play out of it, that's enough for me.  I just hope I can hold second place through the next update tonight.

Who are you using for Castlevania?  I've been playing as Jonathan Morris so far.  I made it to the puppetmaster boss on my own but he killed me in like two hits.  I know what to do now though.  Also picked up an awesome invisiblity cloak with wonderful stats, downside it actually makes you invisible which is a bit wierd.

edit: also, if you think about it, almost all Castlevania games are recycled.  To me Multiplayer as an edition is more than enough to set it apart.  But I agree the reviews are B.S.

There will be some up front work to set it up, but the maintenance work weekly will be insignificant after that.

My high speed internet is currently down.  So I can pull the #'s but the update will not be available tonight.
