Women don't seem to like it when I say they're beautiful. They always say something the equivalent of "Well, that's a nice compliment." when I say that.

It's how you say it that matters. Kids tend to say that a woman is hot but a man knows when he's sees beauty and knows how to compliment that beauty. Saying to someone you're beautiful can be very powerful and women like that.
