Well there are pretty few games with soul.

I bet you didnt even played those games, and I doubt you have a Wii. That "I'm never gonna touch it again" old, overused line is a thing of the past. It's pretty much confirmed that the Wii is seeing some good support, but if you judge the console over 3 games that you played with you mind set already to dislike and hate those games, then of course this was going to happen. Smash Bros controls perfectly well and SMG is a masterpiece.
Those aren't casual games. Brawl is perhaps one of the most hardcore games this gen. Single player clocking more than 200 hours to get 100% and then 500 more hours if you are into multiplayer.

These threads are never going to end.

Do I need to bring you a picture?

I traded my Ps3 for Wii for a month with friend.

I tried Wii Sports,Wii play Res 4, Smash,Mario Galaxy and Zelda.

I was really jealous for Wii users because of these games and was really looking forward to play these.

Smash  might be but heck you can play Wii play over 500 hours and its not hardcore game.

Take my love, take my land..

Why not just rent a movie? Hold the DVD remote in your hand, pretend to play, and enjoy your one big cut scene?

Seriously, though, it's ok not to like some games. It's just a little over-dramatic to create this big "soul" thing.

I don't know about Wii Sports, but Mario Galaxy sure as hell has soul, and from what i've seen of LittleBigPlanet, it does too. I guess i just equate soul with charm, rather than with drama, which is what you seem to equate it with (not making a judgement, just drawing a paralell)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Here we go... Before we get into the hardcore/casual game/gamer discussing let me get something....

I'm ready....

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

You can also play Halo 3 over 500 hours despite not having a glorious story. The single player campaign is minuscule, all the replay value comes from multiplayer. Same with Gears, yet you call those games hardcore, when in reality they are about as twice long as a movie on their single player campaigns.

Why is action/mature not casual? I see a lot of people go into the movies and watch 300, Transformers, Bad Boys, Terminator, Indiana Jones. I also see people go into the movies and watch Harry Potter, Ice Age, Wall-E, LOTR, Star Wars. Are they hardcore movie viewers?

Beating SMG requires more skill and time than beating Gears of War, yet it's being called a casual fest just because of its art design. This gen is probably the weirdest one.

What I dislike about most Wii games is they really lack challenge. If they lack challenge the only thing left is story, a lot of games don't even have a story though, or a sorry excuse for one.

QFT

@ OP the reason i still have my wii, is due to the homebrew channel. Emulation on the wii rocks.

You are such a rare breed in so many ways I don't know if I'm supposed to attack you or take pictures so the memory of you won't die out.
