Would be a nightmare for Sony.

Wouldn't outsell or come close to outselling the Wii though. As Kitchensink said, owning a Wii is now a lifestyle thing. That's not something that a jaw-dropping 360 pricecut could ever change.

That's about the same price as PS2, so it would get about 1/2 the sales.

The normal person can't see much difference between 360 and ps2, they're both sort of "old fashioned" gamepad consoles. Wii is the exciting one that's doing something new.



PC + Wii owners unite.  Our last-gen dying platforms have access to nearly every 90+ rated game this gen.  Building a PC that visually outperforms PS360 is cheap and easy.    Oct 7th 2010 predictions (made Dec 17th '08)

It won't outsell the wii. Price only affect direct competition

Don't know who Leetgeek is but I would venture that you're obsessed with him.

2 years on the market PS3 has 22.3 million. After 2 years on the market 360 had 16 million sold the PS3 is already outselling the older 360.

How about I call "Leetgeek" and get him to sign an autograph for you.

And btw thanks for the laughs I went to your website and read your Prediction on the 720 using HD-DVD.

A x360 for the current price of a 10yr PS2?? And the wii, a soup up almost 10yr gamecube selling for almost 3x as much?

Let us also pretend nintendo raised the wii price by $50.00.

I can imagine Nintendo laughing their asses off.

It could potentially be even more significant if micrsoft did it when the ps3 drops their price (eventually). They could literally say you can get 3 xbox 360s for 1 ps3. ... hell i'd buy 5 360s just to play with them like legos.

No. Software sells consoles not the other way around. Microsoft casual software is nothing compared to Nintendo casual software.
