That 15% off includes the Canada and Mexico numbers.  That's what your missing...

If NPD says they sold

100.

While VGchartz says they sold

115.  With 10 being sold in canada and 5 in mexico.

Thats not 15% off.  That's right on the money.


All those numbers prove is VGchartz is less then 15% off...

and if you think 15% off is bad.

 

Check Famitsu and Mediacrate and think again.  They're often at least that much off each other and they have a much smaller population to track.

The 52k number is VGC's data for US, Canada, and Mexico, the latter two are usually only around 10-15% of the former.

thats VGC's argument for their numbers being off. I don't buy it, its the perfect scapegoat.

NPD and VGChartz are almost exactly the same. VGChartz is maybe 1-2% higher than NPD. Very good for everyone.

Hmm, looks like Sega's gamble hasn't paid off as immediately as they'd hoped. I hope House at least has legs, because it's a fun game.
