A few people were telling me that it was not Metaknight in the top right corner. They said it was Magnemite. They said I was crazy. BUT I SHOWED THEM!

They must not have played games back in the good 'ol extremely low resolution days, so they haven't acquired "low res goggles"

I don't think it's a hoax - I think it is the retail box or a not-finalized version of it.  I don't care either way, as long as the game is good. 

Nintendo are not going to put Snake on their box. I don't know why people think this is the reason why it's fake. They'll include him in the game (as an unlockable) but he's not going on the box because he's not a Nintendo character.

Yeah...you people realize there were 4 people fighting on the Melee cover? Just 4? And then...I dunno, 6 or 8 tiny little boxes showing other characters faces on the border. I think Melee's cover was quite ugly to be honest...don't understand the complaints about this one.

Honestly, I think game companies have some idea that game covers need to show as much of the game as possible. So they end up loading the boxart with as much crap from the game as they can, trying to fill up the entire box. Do they even hire a graphic designer or do they get one of the programmers to make the boxart? A good boxart should be simple, stylised, definitely not n game graphics.

Ths one is definitely way too busy.
