Very good Wii number and why the great increase on DS?

Who is this guy and why is he so dumb?  Most lead platforms are still 360.  Some developers have switched to PS3 lead platform, but ONLY some.  Most definitely not more than use the 360 as lead.

Again, RE5 PS3 outsold RE5 360 just because of the huge difference in the first week for Japan.  Without Japan, the 360 would have won the first week, so it seems pretty obvious that the 360 is bound to beat the PS3 version in just a few weeks time.

AWWWW...here we go lets take japan out because(it doesn't count) I knew it I knew this kind of post will appear.

Its amazing that the Wii continues to sell so well particularly because there hasn't been any major software releases in a long time (except MadWorld)

Xbox 360 is doing very well and is really consolidating 2nd place.

PS3 continues to lag and this weeks sales (along with higher 360 sales in Others) proves that KillZone 2 is not a console mover.

To the guys throwing out that 55% PS3 #'s, why act like this is locked in? More than likely this % will start moving toward the 360 in a few weeks and will probably be flipped around entirely in a few months time. It is simply to early to tell so there is no need in throwing out useless percentages. Esp... when you consider the biggest % increase was from Japan where the sales will slow to a trickle.

But don't you realise how weak is your point? 

Even with those America numbers being so far in favor of the 360, worldwide it isn't much of an advantage for the 360 because the PS3 sold so much better in Japan and while it still costs twice as much.

Retailer Amazon.com on Wed. sold out of Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 Elite Limited Edition SKU that includes Capcom Co.'s Resident Evil 5 on high demand for the product.

On Wed., the item was available for purchase only through a third-party retailer at price above the MSRP.

The RE5 Xbox 360 Elite SKU includes a red color console, red wireless controller, 120GB hard drive, and a token card including Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and exclusive Resident Evil Premium Theme for $399.99.

Additionally, this week Amazon price cut Resident Evil 5 for the Xbox 360 and Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 to $53.99.

Capcom this month said that the first download content for Resident Evil 5 will be a new online Versus mode.

The paid digital download content will pit up to four players against each other in online battles.

Versus mode will include two game types – Slayer's Rule and Survivor's Rule.

Slayer's Rule is a point-based game to kill Majinis, while Survivor's Rule is a hunting game in either one-on-one or two-on-two matches.

The title includes a Mercenaries mini-game at no additional cost.

Capcom in Feb. said that more than 1.8 million Xbox Live members downloaded the RE5 demo.

Resident Evil 5 was released in standard and Collector's Edition SKUs on Mar. 13.

The RE5 bundle has been selling out all week like this since it hit last week. Bundle copies are going to make for a decent portion, but I have to agree with earlier comments as NPD is going to likely show a very different story and I hope we get some bundle numbers. Albeit rare they sometimes will share those.

Killzone 2 was never even stated by the forum majority to even be a big system mover.

That along with this new "Japan doesn't count" argument is so bogus that I am not even going to waste my time. To me it just sounds like "Japan doesn't count because it has 3x install base but Americas counts because it has 2x install base".

Makes you wonder how all multiplat comparisons would look if we did the same and excluded US sales.

I'll just sit back and enjoy this one.
