We figured it out about 2 months ago, so from whenever the 360 launched till then.

true, but that same economy is likely to keep the PS3 behind ever longer because the PS3 today, nearly 2.5 years after its launch, is still the same price the 360 was when it launched almost 3.5 years ago.
Now I'm not saying it's impossible that the PS3 could catch the 360 because if there's anything this gen has taught us, it's to expect the impossible to happen (Gamespot's April Fools joke anyone?), but at best it's a very, very remote possibility. And I'm saying this even though I think the PS3 is the best 7th gen console.

Give it time, the PS3 will catch up, don't forget the X360 is $200 cheaper and has been released a year before the PS3. By the beginning of 2011 that gap will be no more.

idk, if Sony can cut the price before this holiday and then next they have a good chance.
big ps3 price cuts probably coming within the next month or two.
and lol people dont learn their lessons do they? saying the ps3 cant catch up and stuff. whatever most people think here the opposite usually happen! you know what i said 4 years ago there is NO WAY the wii would even outsell the ps3 even 1 week and now look whats happening. until the 360 is 20 million ahead, the battle is still on.
