I think sony has a nice job of getting, and keeping exclusives. But for some reason I just don't like sony franchises Killzone is generic (yes, I know I like halo, so what?)
I guess just a differing opinion. And I will be getting LBP on my psp (which that, and motorstorm wanted to make me join sony and their sith lords) I might also get motorstorm on my psp, but the psp has an abundance of racing games, and I already have two I don't play much.

I think some people will try a friends ps3 with killzone. But will there be a noticeably big pendulum swing? No.

Yeah, I sort of feel the same way. I've yet to try some of their newer franchises (LBP, Motorstorm, etc.), but while I'm pretty impressed with the size and output of their first party, I don't find very much of it to be all that appealing. I mean, in my 14 or so years of owning Playstation consoles, I don't think I've bought more than a couple first party games.

Well, I'm the opposite. I never really bothered with too many Sony games. I'm really getting into their lineup this generation.

Uncharted, Ratchet, Resistance, Motorstorm, and LBP rock!

I think that this statement probably was "more true" in the regards that KZ2 would demonstrate, to non-PS3 owning gamers, what the PS3 was capable of, and make it an appealing gaming option.

In a sense, all he's really saying is that Sony is working hard at building an impressive lineup, which showcases their own platform, and isn't failing to do so -- KZ2 is merely the latest such example.

Any and every game could be "the one" the sways a potential buyer into purchasing a console. I wouldn't touch a 360 with a 10-foot pole until Lost Odyssey showed up, as a personal example. Then I had to have one, because yep, I get LO, and Mass Effect, IU, Fable 2 (and BC Fable 1, which I never played), etc. etc.

To say LO was the one game that motivated me to score a 360 would be false. Yet, it played a role. I think that all this guy is saying is that KZ2 is yet another one of those games that people will list off, when they say "I bought a PS3 because..."

QFT - people are reading too much into the quote and can't see the woods for the trees.

No, I'm actually more interested in their games this gen as well. Should finally get to try out LBP in a couple of days. But traditionally, I've not cared a lick about their first party. Third party games have always made their systems for me.

Am I the only one who noticed it said "Try" not "buy?"

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Edit: Nevermind, misunderstood.

You're right. It's not an arrogant statement at all, IMO. Of course shooter fans would want to try Killzone 2.

"Killzone 2 will drive PS3 owners to Xbox 360", claims Squilliam.

I think its wonderful that it works both ways.

Tease.

Noticed allot of friends going for the ps3 and killzone 2 lately.

Hopefully more will come to join the "Grown up" side. :)

2 reasons for 360 sales.

Cheap arcade version, wich the mom buys for the kids.

And microsoft's wallet.

Me too actually. I always owned a PS console but just because of the library. The only Sony (1st party) games I remember buying were the GOW games on the PS2. This gen everything has flipped- the PS3 has some nice first party but are lacking in the library and multi-plats. In the end for me it just comes down to price. Once the PS3 drops a bit I'm in.

The fact that he is making this statement, when the initial data after several weeks of the game's release shows how out of touch with reality sony truly is...the game didn't even make massive waves with CURRENT ps3 owners...but it's going to make 360 owners buy a ps3...lol...right...
