No, Stof has just felt it necessary to mitigate any negative opinion I ever have about the Video Game industry as unjust and unfounded simply because he has no qualms with it. True I've complained about Capcom before but he's really blowing things out of proportion here. I complained about Capcom axing the entire credits of the Wii Version of Okami and Stof acted like I was on the tail end of a three day meth bindge for being dissapointed by it. I complained about Capcom's voice acting and decision to flip flop on the matter in the Megaman ZX games and Stof acted like I was going to letter bomb Capcom. He's a good mod and in all fairness I've made myself quite the target over the years, but he's an all too typical video game apologist who gets rubbed the wrong way by my complaints about things he has absolutely no issue with.

Hell no Capcom from the GameCube years ,even if production studio 4 which Mikami was at helm at the day support the GameCube with all they had, ignored Nintendo for the biggest market share which Sony had.

Some one said they felt srewed as a sony fan when Mikami announced that Resident Evil remakes would be Nintendo Exclusives. So let me give you some dips of information about that. Mikami had a meeting with Sigeru Miyamoto about the future of the Resident Evil series and arrange an agreement with Capcom to remake ALL Resident Evil games to the GameCube. Mikami is in love with Nintendo and hated Sony because of the product failures in quality that the PlayStation consoles had. The Resident Evil series by Mikami's word was to become the best 3rd party exclusive for Nintendo consoles.

What happen next we all know i don't have to repeat my self. Mikami left Capcom because it(Capcom) had screwd the fan base of resident evil fans had all moved to Nintendo consoles.

The valuable lesson here was that when you have to deal multinational corporate dicks there is no thing as loyalty or other romantic staff that gamers felt on the golden age of gaming, there is only MONEY!

Capcom are feeling their best interest to penetrate the western market is to support the Xbox360 so thats why they support it so much.

They ditched games like Viewtiful Joe, P.N.03,Dead Phoenix, Okami and so many new franchises for the western market, they closed Clover Studio, all their big named developers left and formed Platinum Games.

Capcom isn't what they used to be and my loyalty goes to my favorite developers not their publisher. So screw Capcom long live Platinum Games!

Sven's words are technically true, but fail if you look at releases outside of Japan or games developed specifically for that system. In other words, they fail on reach and effort. The first point really shows how his speech must be parsed -- because he knows he is speaking primarily to a western audience from his western base but yet he is citing efforts in Japan. Of course, when he talks about Zack & Wiki ads, he always brings up the $2M spent on TV in Japan (which seems both misguided and overdone -- especially in light of the rule of thumb he mentioned that marketing is targeted to be between 9% and 12% of total sales -- which means 400k or so of a niche title new IP in a market that is not buying console games this generation except for known quantities).

And if you count in house games that are not ports, the list gets reduced to 1 (one) game. Zack & Wiki, that's it. With 1 more coming MH3 (If it makes it to the West). Not counting TvsC because it may never make it here.

On the other hand the HDs get a lot of in house games, DMC4, Lost Planet, Lost Planet: Colonies, Dead Rising, SFIV, RE5. With the Upcoming Lost Planet 2 and Dead Rising 2.

I think it's clear who's their primary target this gen. Hint: Not the Wii.

Huh? Madden and Tiger on Wii have most of the stuff in the HD versions and a lot of extra stuff.  The Wii versions certainly have more content and are hardly watered down or kiddy.  Where are you getting your info from?  Have you even played Tiger on Wii?
