It's not the same thing, because he really wasn't. Mario had several games that sold bucketloads, and after that they ventured into sports-games with Mario-characters. Mario doesn't get plastered on everything Nintendo does, he just gets included in their sidestory-titles (Mario Party, Mario sports/kart etc.). What Dante did and Sackboy is doing is completely different, since they're getting shoved in our faces uncontrollably after only having one game. It's ridiculous that anyone could think of this as the same situation.

^ mario bros was a spin off at the very begining. lol his original name was jumpman. also look up mario cement factory and mario bombs away spin offs of a spin off that only had mario bros before 2 or 3. look at dk hockey and look at pinball. punch ball, wrecking crew. all before mario bros 2 came

Hey last time i checked Brooklyn is at the West end of Long Island, but you're right, someone might think he's from Queens and it's better to clarify so no one makes that sacrilege jejejejejejeje...
