but for people in my year in UK this is horrible for us!

We are guinea pigs yet again....they have now introduced a A* grade & as cambridge has adopted it MOST uni's will too

A* = 90% + in a given subject

And we have new AS levels, but anyway, I should get an A* anyway (actually at least 2), and if I don't I would probably not deserve to go to Cambridge if I could not.

The A* system is rubbish. Just make the A level a tad harder.

I am hoping for A*AAA too (at AS level....then I'll drop physics)

At the least I want AAAB.....for medecine AABB is  the Minimum As Level grades you can get

But I am in a state school & this disadvantages me a lot....as our school is good but we do not get enough personal attention in school like private school students

In America, community colleges are going to start turning people down.


Overpopulation + Global financial crisis = We can't afford enough schools for the amount of kids we have, so we start raising prices and raising necessary grades for entry.


The last 50 years of idiots did this to us, and screwed up our whole future.

Take it from me, University is supposed to be the best time of your life. This is completely tied into where you go. Unis like Oxbridge, Warwick and other elitist places will work you to the fucking bone. You will depressed, bored, unsociable outcasts.

If you value your sanity don't choose to go somewhere like that. It takes a special kind of person to enjoy life at those sorts of Unis. Go to a normal university, have loads of fun partying, blow all your money, get loads of debt and get into pretty much the same paid job as someone who studied their arse off in Oxbridge only to fall into a research job with shit pay.

Your choice.

Oh and if the OP wants to go to university, I suggest learning grammar.

I got an A* in English language & English Literature at GCSE....just so you know I'm not incapable of good grammar......

About you complaint......that sound really silly to me no offense.

Oxford n Cambridge Uni's are among the top worldwide.....they make make us work....but that hard work will probably be very rewarding......ofcourse there will be fun too.
