Of course the Playstation (1, 2) had the best line up for platformers. Crash was more Action Adventure but still.

Really? To each their own, but you'll be the first person I've ever known that thinks the PSOne excelled at platformers over the N64.

N64 had better platformers, but the PS1 had more of them:

Klonoa: Door to Phantomile
Jumping Flash
Jumping Flash 2
Skullmonkeys
Tomba 1
Tomba 2
Ape Escape
The Crash Series
The Spyro Series
Rayman 1
Heart of Darkness
Some Gex games
Oddworld 1 and 2

Those aren't shabby platformers in anyone's book.

Considering that you only own one PS1 game and it isn't a platformer,then you might not have the experience with PSX platformers to know. Just one example Klonoa: Door to Phantomile was so good it is being resurrected on Wii.
