Forums - Nintendo - Problem with Wii and Hd-tv..

22 inch HDTV doesn't sound like it should mess with anything usually people report problems on big screens 40+inch HDTV or so. I have around 32 inch HDTV with component cables and I have no problem and I sit sort of close to it while playing CoD:WaW. I have never played 360 or PS3 so I may not notice a drastic difference or whatever (don't care to play those consoles either since I dislike both of the companies).

The problem with the cable is the non-standard output connector.

Does PS3 have component output? Atleast two of my friends said that it has only composite and HDMI outputs. Although, both have 40GB models.

yes we have.

component use the same port as composite sony sells original component cables too.

i use component to play in my SD TV. HDMI in the house tv.

get the component cables... they help..

wii always looks better on a plasma/CRT than on a LCD, since the former can display various resolutions- without a problem..unlike LCD's which upscale/downscale everything to their native panel res...kinda like how 480i cable looks crap on LCD

I hate the way my wii looks on my LCD but its looks so much nicer on the plasma..

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

The Wii does not look better on a SDTV. I have played the Wii on both so I know. Of course I use the correct cables unlike the OP.

As someone else said, some HDTVs are better than others at displaying 480i/480p. Some are so good that you'll hardly see any difference between native 480p and upscaled 480p.
