good grief. Tragic story until the second half which seems laced with bs. The game had nothing to do with it and all of their similarities seem inconsequential compared to the things described in the first half.

Games have absolutely nothing to do with this article at all.
The kid killed some people. So what? The world is overpopulated anyway...
Quem disse que a boca é tua?
Qual é, Dadinho...?
Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!
Parents dont teach their kids that if you hurt someone, you get put away for A LONG TIME!

Same with me. When I get angered at someone or at something, I pop in Soul Calibur II (GCN) or Brawl to take out my anger. One time I got so angry at my friend that I went onto FFXI, took off my LinkShell (community group with my friends) and went on a killing spree with monsters. Got 3 levels that day LOL

Then the world would be overpopulated. At least 2 Billion in the US alone. |
sex first , we'll worry about over populat later.
my favorite thing about this is as always....parents and officals blame the video games...however when someone goes and kills or tortures someone because god/jesus told them you dont see anyone yelling "we gotta ban the bible" ...its just funny really...
thats so pathetic people need to get out more and associate with members of the opposite sex
Long Live SHIO!

Yeah, overcopulation before overpopulation is what I always say.
He had attended a shooting range since he was 8 and had shown of the Beretta many times to his friends before, yet he learned to shoot from Far Cry 2 and his dad bought the gun simply because he knew a game called Far Cry 2 with such a gun that would fascinate his son would come out sometime in the future?
Oh, and black camo? Like the kind designed for urban operations and not the green/white/sand coloured kind made for forest/jungle/snow/desert etc?
Strange choice indeed.
They are pulling references and drawing up chalklined parallels here to make the videogame industry the culprit once again...
Games do not produce killers, they may once every three blue moons set one off for some reason but killers are not made from games.
Sounds to me like the entire family had an unhealthy relationship with weapons throughout the kids entire upbringing.
Having 15 guns in the home is a far greater worry for me than Far Cry 2 or Counterstrike will ever be.
I just wish he tried his hand at getting other girls first after he got rejected. It may have hurt at that time, but time heals things.
He probably played Far Cry 2 to RELEASE tension, not build it. Blaming the game for his rampage isn't fair to Ubisoft. His parents should've been better caretakers, and not leave guns around.
