Resident evil has gone too far from the path of what it was. Im not saying resident evil 4 or 5 are bad they are really good, but they should just be a spin off's. I want them to make a resident evil with gamplay like from 1 to 3 (the best) the lack of ammo , the large amount of zombies (actual zombies) the scary camera angles of you and the door when you enter a room and you can hear zombies moving around and when you get brave enough and step forward to take a look o zombie in your face , it all seems lost :(  or they could also bring back the resident evil outbreak series for all the onliners, it was brilliant , what do you think they should do next?

I think they should simply start making a true RE game and simultaniously develop a game with the new more action-based gameplay style (more co-op pleaze).

no, i don't believe that going back will work, they should try to make a RE4 style RE that has the same horror that REmake had, RE started deviating to action since RE3, i don't remember ever worrying about ammo in that game

Yeah, because backtracking is fun,(sarcasm), i don't know what you see in previous resident evil's, i really don't. Sure it was scary, but it still didn't match silent hill in that department, people need to stop wearing nostalgia googles, because, they are not as great as you think they are now.

@kutasek the first installemnts may feel old now, but REmake and RE0 fell amazing, the tension behind those games is awesome, enviroments are creepy and nice to explore not just run, shoot and get to the exit.

I'm playing code veronica right now, and i'm backtracking all the time in this game, kinda annoying after a while. Is remake better in backtracking department.

If they released a game like that, it would average a 6/10, and we'd all hate it. Trust me, your memory of it is better than it actually was.

I agree also as the Resident Evil games where they were actual zombies and all the Puzzles were just so much fun!

I play REmake once a year and I still love it to death. The only thing that needs to be fixed is the movement based on the way the character is looking to a general up=up controls and you have a perfect game that will score 8plus if done well.
