Forums - Nintendo - Your opinion on Animal Crossing Wii

I'd like to know your opinion on Animal Crossing City Folk. I checked out amazon's deal of the day and there it is for only 30 bucks. Since it is a first party game I think it's unlikely we'll see it that cheap any time soon.

I've never played an animal crossing game. I haven't played the sims either. The closest I've been to a sim something is sim city 2000 which I enjoyed a lot.

What is this game like? Is it worth $30?

Thanks in advance for your advice. :)

if you've never played an AC game before, its definitely worth it

I have never played an Animal Crossing game either. It is a lot of fun. But I still wish they added more to the game.

I have yet to play online with it, I'm sure that is where most of the fun is! I will next month when one of my friend's gets it though.

I haven't played it, but the past Animal Crossing games were very good. If the Wii version is close to GameCube and DS versions quality, it's most likely very good. For 30 bucks, I would pick it up. It's a steal at that price for you, since you're into that type of game.

It is just the last AC with a new jacket but if you don't own it the WII AC game will be a nice addition to your Wii liberary.

Thanks for all your replies. I would like to know one thing though. What's the game about?

That is kinda hard to explain. But it's about living life. XD Best answer I can give you. lol

its about your character moving into a new town that you name. this butthole tom nook gives you a house and makes you pay off your debt. he continuously makes the house bigger, and you keep having to pay him more debts till its the full size house. theres tons of stuff to do in the game- fishing, designing clothes, bug catching, etc. you have a town full of animals to mess with... and there's tons of holiday stuff.

in other words, if you don't like doing chores all the time you'll probably hate the game.

I rented the GC version once, and fell asleep about 1 hour later. Biggest waste of a free rental coupon ever

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Nordlead Jr. Photo/Video Gallery!!! (Video Added 4/19/10)

I am sad to say it, but I am on the same boat as nordlead.

I found it to work better as a handheld game. You should check out the DS version first to see if it is your cup of tea.

The only problem there, just like the Wii version is that prices never drop on Nintendo games. Game was released at the end of 2005 and it is still full priced. -.-
