Yeah, usually. They're still better than not having a port at all for those that want to play it, but don't have a particular console.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

It's a good old fashioned tank. Sold horribly. Should have been mulit-plat.

/thread.

Yes. Actually sales are lower than that as those are shipment numbers.

Well, in that case the situation looks even worse.

Yeah, those are shipment numbers, sorry... But that means Europe is not coming to save SO4, and if the 6x multiplier is correct, 360k is still around half of what SO3 did, and that's bad when some people considered that the 360 strategy was attract people from the West (and let's remember that SO3 did better in the US than Japan)...

As for Final Fantasy VI, it sold 30k first week in the US, but what are the total sales? because i know the 1st Final Fantasy title to break a million in the US was Final Fantasy VII...

Anarchyz - I want to say FFIII wound up doing above 300,000.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Cutting your fanbase is undeniably bad. But the thing is: they probably didnt really have a choice. Everyone tries to look at this as if SE's top managers are greedy bastards that dont care for the company (people obviously havent read this: http://kotaku.com/5165346/square-enix-execs-take-self+imposed-pay-cut )

But the way I see it SE has just put too much hope on one console. As funny as it may sound now but SE really wanted PS3 to dominate the market. Otherwise they wouldnt have announced 2 enourmously huge projects for it at the same time.

But when it's become clear that PS3 isnt going to even remotely dominate SE had to change its plans. The engine that originally was meant to only work with PS3 had to be made multiplatform and a lot of other expensive changes had to be made. SE had to find more money to fund all that and they had to do it fast. Microsoft came in handy with their offers.

Such a sad story.

Indeed it is.

First I read about Atlus yesterday and now you show me this.

I am upset now. S-E needs to go with a complete multiplatform strategy from here on out.

 Wait What happened with Atlus?

FF3 sold about 500,000 in the US.

But I know like 5 people were playing it per copy since it was like an $80 cart (personal experiance).
