Let me break this one down.

November 2006 PS3 launched with 2 models.

60GB - $600

20GB - $500

Then we got a $100 price drop.

60GB - $500

20GB - $400

Then we had the 20GB phased out and later the 40GB came to replace it.

60GB - $500

40GB - $400

Then we had the 60GB phased out with the 80GB to replace it.

80GB = $500

40GB = $400

As you can see, since launch the high end PS3 model is $100 lower than it originally was.

Since launch the low end PS3 model is $100 less than it originally was.

Actually, now I think it is...

160GB = $500

80GB = $400

Seeing as how the 40GB was phased out to be replaced with the non-BC 80GB PS3 and I think the 160GB replaced the older 80GB that had backwards compatibility.

Have you really missed the entire thing I posted like 6-8 times last week? PS3 got over 70k boost from KZ2, almost a 50% increase from the previous week. -.-

It has unless someone else knows something I do not, and retailer drops like the one Hyruken mentioned do not count.

oh and by the way, the 160GB version was only limited edition and is either sold out or will be sold out.

I always thought that LBP is on the wrong console if u want it to sell 23234 milions (don't shoot me , it's just an opinion)

LBP on psp may get better sales and give better boost imo

Well the 160GB and the 80GB are the only 2 SKU's available right now and stores like Gamestop still have plenty of 160GB in stock. I am not so sure if it was as "limited" as Sony wanted us to believe.

Either way, still $100 pricedrop per SKU regardless.
