Forums - Sony - 'PSP-3001 B' submitted to FCC

I just come across this on the FCC's site, it was submitted yesterday. I have no idea what difference there is between this and the current 'PSP-3001' model, but I assume just adding a 'B' to the model number means it's pretty minor.

Revisions are a good thing, imagine if the PsP fat was still the only one on the market.  They're making it better every year instead of making people play the fat for 5 years before finally releasing a new model.

I don't think you should be discouraged from buying a PSP because of that ,  the Phat ones still offer virtualy the same experience to the slim ones.

Difference region = Difference series no.

e.g.

PSP-3000 = Japan region

PSP-3006 = Taiwan region

PSP-3007 = Hong Kong region

its just a region difference mine is 3004 , in the US its 3001 in japan its 3000

Same as PS3, JP = 00, US = 01, AU/NZ = 02, UK = 03, EMEA = 04 etc etc. That's not really relevant here, FCC is a US agency, so all models submitted to them will be US region. Previous model submitted to FCC was "PSP-3001", this new one is "PSP-3001 B".

I don't really have much interest in PSP, was looking for 45nm PS3 (not submitted yet) and came across this new PSP submission. Just posted for those who have an interest in PSP hardware.
