Forums - Nintendo - Excitebots trailer: Run fast and make a sandwich on the track

its the wrong trailer for me, it does look like a whole lot of kinda stupid minigames

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

only 2 player splitscreen again? weak, oh well, It still looks like it will be a great game anyway, I hope custom soundtracks are still in
if it has 2 player splitscreen online it'll help even out the no 4 player
well 40 for it seems square to me even with only 2 player support

It's never been stated what number of players; I'm just whining about the rarity of 4-player splitscreen nowadays and the fact that it seems really likely that 2-player is all we'll get.

Wow the game looks nice. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on it.

say what?  I'm not sure where you're getting that from the trailer.

Easy day#1 purchase for me. Very glad to see split screen in there!

Damn, it looks crazy xD but it seems that you can have a lot of fun, especially multi player. Keeping my eye on this one

so its a racing game with a ton of mini games thrown into it.. interesting.. looks like it could work.

no, there are no minigames. The Excite series gameplay is about scoring the most stars at the end of the race. Whoever has the most stars is the winner - not necessarily the person that finishes the race first.

They just throw in a lot of random stuff for how you earn those stars - such as the soccer ball, bowling pins, etc. It's still purely racing, you just have a mess of stars you've gotta earn, and you've got a LOT of different ways to earn them.

At first I was kinda so-so but it was one of those things where you let it sit for a second then thought about the online modes, and how it looks better then Mario Kart Wii and just go OH this might be interesting and fun :) I loved excite truck and as long as this game doesn't totally screw the gameplay in the bunghole. I'll probably end up liking this one I hope. *crosses fingers and hopes for the best*

There wasn't enough "racing" from my point of view, it looked like evey 5 seconds some stupid giant soccer ball got in the way. Thats how i interpreted it.

Where is F Zero?
