PS3 failing? its been selling better then the 360 since launch...?

no console this generation is failing...

Honestly, I doubt that the 10th reason is that big of a deal. They've never had more SKUs out there than MS at one time, so as long as the consumer isn't completely ignorant, they should have an easy time figuring out which model to buy.

The 9th one; we've had the DS3 for almost a year now, and the controller isn't much of an issue anymore. (except those bloody R2/L2 triggers!!)

I disagree with number 5 as well; it states that the attach ratio is lower, which is true, but then basically says the PS3 has few good games. That is a blatant lie based on my tastes. Therefore, that is an opinion and isn't very valid.

Number 4 isn't a huge issue anymore, but there are still some problems, and for people looking for earlier games, it is very likely they'd go with the 360 version.

Sony has lost a lot of exclusives yes, but they have fantastic 1st party studios making all kinds of great exclusives that, in my opinion, more than make up for the ones lost.

As for the rest of the ones that I didn't talk about, I do agree with them.

I only disagree with #5. Attach rates are meaningless when you are comparing consoles that released at different times.

If we compare only sales from launch, Sony has lost over a third of its fanbase in a single generation, is still bleeding both red ink and exclusives, and has utterly killed the once-sterling reputation of its brand name. How is that not failure?

Why is there so much PS3 hate lately? I know it's always been around, and always will be around, but damn, lately its just been ridiculous. Is it because of Killzone 2 and 360 fans just trying to make everyone else feel bad?

I think threads with "PS3 sucks because", "Sony was wrong when", "What could have been PS3" and what not should all be locked immediately for a week or two (360 ones as well), this has gotten to the point where it's childish and immature, all of these topics were discussed years ago and do not need to be brought up again just so some 10 year old can feel better about themselves.

vgchartz foruns arent the universe... it will be a fail wen they pull it off before its time... until then you will havo to suck it up and live with it...

many products in many branches of business arent the most selling piece and are way far from failure... i can give as many or more reasons to their example as for ps3 but i am a little busy playing my very good games in my full functioning, not failing  ps3 console!

8-2 was in refrence to the fact that only 20% of the current home console marketshare belongs to the PS3.

Considering the 80%+ the PS2 had... you'd be delusional to not consider a product losing over 60% of the marketshare it's line owned a failure.

Really? Yet until the 360 price drop the PS3 was outselling the 360 WW every week for months. It did this again last week. So the PS3 sales are hurting due to price, thats it. When the PS3 does drop its price it will continue on its upward trend. Add in all of the upcoming hits like Uncharted2, GOW3, GT5, FF etc. and the PS3 will not only catch the 360 but surpass it in units sold. The only thing that may stop that is if the 360 dropped to $99.
