Hus...why do you enjoy VGChartz so much? What is it about this site that makes you want to save it from the wii fanboys and the biased mods? This is a serious question and I am not being sarcastic or condescending. Obviously you must enjoy the time you spend here because you are an avid poster. So what are some of the good qualities about this site?

Hus, you have like 30 shots of a freaking PS3 as your avatar, I see no reason for you to whine about the mods owning other consoles. After all, the place is called VG chartz. Not Wiichartz or PS3chartz. You can't, and shouldn't, attempt to measure anyone here based on what consoles they own. It's just silly and with little basis, and no one will take you seriously about the mods supposedly being biased just because they own a console. You have no argument.

 He was unbanned because I banned him temporarily for trolling earlier.  I let him back on the site yesterday.

 Along with some Nintendo fan that was also trolling.  I banned him for the same amount of time.

But of course these things don't get acknowledged.

This thread has degenerated from a thread where we might all become better posters by sharing our feelings on how to address topics into a thread where people are tossing insults back and forth at each other.

@Ben, I don't think you are a fanboy. Biased posts sure, but I don't think you let it effect your bans. Hus is welcome to express his opinions on Mods in this thread, I think that all the mods would be better off not posting in here, and letting the fans do the talking. It's creating more hostility. It's a leadership thing. I actually learned this from Sony back in the PS2 days, when somebody says something bad about you don't address them directly. I used it when I to owned my business and use it still now that I manage the hotel. To position yourself better, you need to control when and how you will respond, don't let them push you into a response. Stay in control. (I am not very good at this on here, but I am not a mod.)

I love all the work that all of you put into the site.

Just offering some explanation and reasoning behind my actions...since Hus seems so interested in my capabilities as a mod.

I'm just a bit sick of people accusing me of only punishing Sony supporters. I don't think Hus or anybody else has access to my private messages, of which plenty are warnings to so-called "wii fanboys." Everybody has to follow the same rules...it's just that others know when to calm down and act like a reasonable person after getting warned or temporarily banned.

Well I'm done with this now.

For the record, I got a warning once. It was because I was inciting (flaim bait) Sony Fanboys who were trolling a Wii Thread a few months ago. I did it one time and immediately got warned not to do that. (I think it was either Ben or Stof who I think both own a Wii)

So I don't do it, though later my 360 motion controller post made fun of the six-axis and I got heat for that and I wasn't trying to bait, I was joking that 360 motion would be silly like IMO it is for PS3. We are allowed to have opinions and even joke when appropriate.

I think sometimes our own biases make a light joke seem like a personal insult. I know that I notice Wii bashing more than PS3 or 360 bashing because I am so utterly in love with my Wii (which I make fun of too).

Like I said in my answer in that thread: people are going to make light of the Wii Casual Line-up and crappy ports, the 360 hardware track record, and Sony over hyping and half-baked motion controls. The banhammer only comes out when you cross the line or keep pushing it.

@Hus: I think it would be in your best interest just to not comment on anything that has to do with Wii or 360. I don't own a 360 anymore, so if I do comment in a 360 thread I only post positive stuff even though my general feelings about MS are negative. I just try to be civil. PS3 I am a little more harsh on, because I still own one and speak from personal experience. I NEVER say "it sucks" or make generalized comments though, that is what gets people banned.

 But if you don't report,how should they know about it?

My turn to give my opinion :
We have an expression in France to sum up it : "certains ici ne manquent pas d'air !".
I don't know how to translate it correctly but it overall means : some are not ashamed sometimes ...

You cannot have serious, civil and interesting discussions with a few people here without been called "fanboy" if you appear to have the slightest disagreement with them.

This is quite frustrating because every time i come, i hope for new ideas and perspectives i did not thought about ...

Problem is how do you want to discuss when you are bashed every time on numerous subjects.

IMO, this site does not need some i won't hesitate to name : Leo, Hus are the first that come to my mind.

What? Where is the threat? All he said was you should try contributing to normal discussion like everybody else and instead you jumped into paranoia mode. There was no "or else!" or "and if you don't..." type statement in there. 

What makes you think that a mod who owns a Wii is automatically bais in favor of other Wii owners? By this logic CK should be a rabbid Wii fan but thats pretty far from reality. The fact is that not everyone feels the need to be a rabbid supporter of their console and you project your own experience to others when you make that assumption.

As for the double standard, even if your paranoia were warranted the only double standard that exists around here would be the one where people who are known trolls/flamers/flamebaiters are not given as much leeway as those who have proven themselves able to control their posting.

But for the double standard you are talking about, go ahead and find a thread where a Wii fanboy and a PS3 or 360 fanboy are flaming each other and only one of them gets banned/warned and then you have found an instance of a double standard. Until then this is a conspiracy theory as far as I am concerned.
