man it sad to see saturn in the list, and alot of people thought that will happen to PS3 also , i guess if Sega didnt release the Dreamcast so early they would have stayed in the console market by now.
| Kantor said: What about the Apple Bandai Pippin? And how can they mention the Saturn without mentioning the DreamCast? |
Saturn sold less units than the Dreamcast.
Anyhow, we all need to remember - Virtual Boy sold horribly, but was a wonderfully fun unit and today, it sells for as much money as it did when it released due to its rarity and continued enjoyment.

I liked the Saturn far better than the Dreamcast.
@ thetonestarr)
afaik the Saturn sold ~1million more than the DC, but well it had more time to
Sega Saturn will always be awesome because of this guy:
And they pretty much forgot quite a few consoles that failed harder than Saturn: Atari Jaguar, Atari Lynx and 3DO, for instance.

What crap are they spewing, The saturn rocked. Clockwork night 1 was one of my favorite games! In fact it still is. Also Virtua Fighter on that was beast, Then you have NIGHTS etc etc. Lots of high quality games on that system. Sega was stupid for not marketing it better. 2 cores was far ahead of the time. Just like how sony is ahead with 7 cores. If Sega made a console this gen it probably would have had like 16 cores.
@ Sharky54 )
it was multi(dual) CPU not multi Core .. unfortunately in a time when multi-threaded programming was waaaay underdeveloped :(
and yea the Saturn ruled
the only reason why I like my PS3 a tiny bit better is because it has bc and I never had a PS2 before
Oh yeah it was a dual thread core thats right. My mistake. I got confused with everything now a days having 1600 cores.
to bundle the sega saturn along with the gizmondo and n-gage is nothing short of hearsay.
All i have to say is
Grandia
virtua FIGHTER 1 & 2
daytona usa
sega rally
panzer dragoon 1,2, zwei
nights: into dreams
virtua cop 1&2
three dirty dwarfs
Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:
a. a AAA 3D sonic title
b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"
c. redesgined PS controller
d. SEGA back in the console business
e. M$ out of the OS business

The PS3 has one core.
The 7 SPEs are considered specialized co-processors.
