Killzone 2 bombs in America: 353,294 units.
Any way you look at it, this game is a failure for Sony. It will not have legs contrary to popular belief and will likely lead to a huge loss if the rumours about development costs are correct. I'm certain that Sony was expecting this to be a huge seller - look at their ad campaign, the huge budget, media, promotion, 4 years of hype, etc.
What's sadder is the fact that the PSP outsold the PS3 in February. Is this the final death rattle for Sony's console?
I wouldn't be suprised to see Guerilla shut down in the coming months or sized down considerably. Killzone just doesn't have the name behind it to generate the sales after the terrible first game. They would have done a lot better to create a new IP.
