Again, I've never heard of GAD-JIT. It'd just the only other review I could find, and I thought I'd list it for those interested.

And I trust almost ANY source over IGN. They didn't even complete the game before reviewing it. The only source that's more of a joke than IGN is Gamespot.

The only sources I truly trust are EDGE, Eurogamer, and GameTrailers.

But I know a lot of people read a lot of different sources, so I posted every review I could find. And thus far, IGN is the outlier.

And amazingly enough, (here comes the crazy part) I've reached a conclusion on how I've enjoyed the game not by a review, but by actually playing it.

The game is most certainly fun. Not perfect, but it's really darn fun. In fact, playing as a certain red echidna kicks all sorts of behind.

Yeah, I had made up my mind about this game long before I read any reviews.

Thus far, I'd rate it at about a 7.8. Unleashed was  a 7.5 and Secret Rings was an 8.0 for me.

Well, the graphics and artstyle are really wonderful... some of the best visuals I've seen on Wii.

Gameplay is where things get iffy with the WiiMote controls, but they get the job done. Not perfect, but they work and can be very rewarding.

Plus, there's so many things to do and see, plus up to four characters to play as. Not to mention the many collectables, movies, soundtracks, etc. to collect. Great stuff.

I can't give my score yet, since I'm bound to write up a review (don't want to spoil all the fun ), but let's just say it's no 3.9.

Typically, most sites that are used in aggregate scores of metacritic and gamerankings are (on average) within 5% to 10% of the aggregate score ... At the same time, most of the sites on metacritic and gamerankings have games where they are (up to) 30% or 40% off of the aggregate review scores.

What this means is that it is likely that Sonic and the Black Knight will (likely) see many more reviews in the 60% to 80% range based on the number of reviews that have already been released in that range, but that doesn't necessarily mean there is anything wrong with IGN's review; well, beyond the obvious problems of what is wrong with game reviews in general. From the sound of it, SatBK seems to be a break from what IGN enjoyed from more typical Sonic games and reviewed the game harshly because of it ...
